It was really good because I was able to talk about some of the issues I was experiencing and was able to seek help. I always felt I had someone to talk to regarding my issues with mental illness.
-Activities on ward (tai chi, gym etc).
-Garden area with football.
-Varied meals and good portion size.
-Cleanliness.
-Comfortable bedrooms.
-Allowed certain amount of independence (unescorted and escorted leave).
-More sports/exercise groups.
-Bigger variety of lunch options.
-More contact with doctors.
I found it very useful and it has helped me in away but I still need help as my tablets seen not to be waiting.
The support from my nurse and other members of early intervention not sure what can be improved.
So far I have been to the day hospital for just one out of the 6 days offered. The care and support and activities running through the day are great. I just wish felt well enough. I feel ill equipped to handle life and have told staff I need admission. currently there are no beds. But I cannot look after myself and my parents are sick and tired of looking after me and say they have no life, which makes me sad. So many patients on the ward stay for 4 or 5 years at a time for treatment and all the time there are more new patients needing urgent care and there is no hope for treatment. I am very concerned for my own life because I cannot get the treatment I need and this is serious.
